3.-5.April 2009
Kalju's Youth Camp 2009 - spring Where to buy love? I'd like to share the joy and the blessing I got from this camp. Even though I am the youth leader and that made me the camp director, I had such a good time. I had so many good helpers and so good campers. God was the leader of this camp! There were 51 youths (29f+22m) + guests. Most of us were from Kalju Baptist Church, but there were youths from other places, like Riina and Heidi from Tartu Võru church, Geoff from US, Helari from Tartu Kolgata Church. Unfortunately it was the first Kalju Youth camp where Mare couldn't come, but Margit was there:) and also Ave, Iiris, Triin, Siim, Joel, Heikko, Dan, Mart and some more you might know. Friday: We had a fun game, where a well-known terrorist Geoffmed Hussein Obama had kidnapped four of our youths (Iiris, Janet, Annika, Hanna) and he wanted ransom - 1 000 000 of Gaak's for each person. Gaak is the currency of Afgaak, if you didn't know that before:D. Siim was Geoffmed's left foot. So, four teams had to earn that money from a crazy scientist, sports competitions, doing dirty work etc. Of course there were mobsters and other important characters aswell. Like me, who was the dictator and wanted to see some passports and stuff. It was lots of fun. We had online video up of our kidnapped girls.
Here's our church's union president on 100 000 gk, Kalju's pastor on 50 000, me on 10 000 gk, Geoffmed on a thousand gk and Siim on a hundred:D.

Before we went to sleep we worshipped!

Oh, and ofcourse we had a ööhäire/wake up thingy at night.
Saturday:
Bible class.
Taking group picture.
Going to lunch - me with three Remmels.
City game: singing Estonian anthem, sports etc.
Happy Janet - she still needs prayers.
1. John 4:10
A happy hour with Triin:D. For me Saturday evening was the best. I can't describe it. But there was so much love and God there. Dramas were funny. Music wasn't loud, but that made everyone listen to it more carefully, testimony's from Helari, Ain (they have both been in prison), Ave (tears), pastor Erki. Group hug and a prayer in the end. I just don't have many pictures from it.
Sunday: Sermon was great and afterwards was football match between Kalju and Rapla (many youths from Rapla have started coming to Kalju youth events and the camp was held in Rapla Baptist church). Of course Kalju won! Was it 8:5 or sth, we even had to take our goalkeeper out in the middle of the game, so that Rapla would get some goals:D. But it was lots of fun.
Sermon.
And ofcourse there were cheerleaders! Iiris and Janet!
And here's Siim:).
Kalju's team bench.
And here's good but with less goals Rapla's team.
And then we went home with an evening train.
I love you all so much. And my words cannot describe how awesome is God and how much he's taught me. Armastusega! Mai |
